Home to our current preschool through eighth grade, our founding campus and school building, St. Joseph’s Hall, is the center of our community. On any given day, you’ll find students playing basketball on the yard, performing farm chores, doing observational drawings and gathering with their classes. Inside St. Joseph’s Hall, students can be found meeting in small groups, reading with their buddy class, conducting a science experiment from our third floor, practicing a project skit, assembling for morning meeting, and more!
Our founding campus is also a community gathering spot for our parents. After Friday morning drop-off parents stay for coffee and bagels, talk with fellow parents, watch the all-school assembly, and often attend a parent education event. On sunny days, with red tail hawks flying overhead, parents don’t ever want to leave!
After the renovation of our newest campus at 601 Dolores, our middle school students (grades 5-8) moved just a few blocks down the street. The school’s master plan will see our preschool students move into the main school building from their current home in the bungalows. When this happens, we’ll have the opportunity to expand our farm and garden, and create new outdoor learning environments on the yard.
