Fees
We are happy to announce a more affordable summer program! Starting this summer, your child’s cost for summer camp will be based on the amount of tuition paid during the 2009-10 school year (2010-11 school year for new, incoming students), and CDS families no longer need to complete a separate sliding scale application form for summer camp.

See registration form for full fee scale (fees range from $150 to $600 for a 2-week session).

A portion of summer camp slots will be reserved for participants paying sliding scale rates. These slots will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If we receive more sliding scale registrations than we have reserved sliding scale spots, your child will be added to a sliding scale waiting list. You can either register your child for a full price slot at that time, and/or wait for a sliding scale spot; the waiting list will be ranked based on the date your child’s registration is received.

Preschool and Kindergarten Summer Camp
(for children entering preschool and kindergarten)
Spend the summer making art, cooking special snacks and participating in fun dance parties while learning from enthusiastic, well-qualified teachers. Meet new friends, gain new skills and have a safe and fun camp experience. Each two-week camp has a special theme in addition to the three general themes interwoven into all sessions (farm and garden, music and movement, sports and games). All campers must be three years old and able to use the bathroom on their own to attend.

Elementary Summer Choices Camp
(for children entering grades 1-4)
Join us for lots of fun! Each two-week camp has a variety of themes and featured activities, and with a low student-to-teacher ratio, campers will be able to focus deeply on a particular topic. Three general themes are interwoven into all sessions - visual and performing arts, farm and garden, sports and games.

Check out this exclusive concert footage of Flaming Plinkinston and Deaf Word, kid-made and kid-played rock and roll led by summer camp teachers Brian Gorman and Marux Stoesz of Rock Band Land.

Middle School Summer in the City Camp
(for students entering grades 5-10)
Back for its third year, this camp features interactive learning while exploring the city. Combining morning and afternoon workshops based on various themes, Summer in the City Camp is open to incoming 5th-8th graders, as well as any high school freshman and sophmore who would like to attend.
