CDS Students Shine at Middle Stage Fest
Congratulations to all of our talented drama students who shone so brightly at this year’s Middle Stage Fest!
CDS students took home a total of 20 awards for musical theatre solos and duets, monologues, group scenes, and costume or set designs.
What is Middle Stage Fest?
CETA Middle Stage Fest allows middle school students to meet peers from other schools, share their passion, showcase their talents, receive feedback and recognition for their work, and participate in professional workshops. Before the fest, students submit performances to earn bronze, silver, or gold recognition, and top scorers are named “All-Festival” winners, earning the opportunity to perform for a live audience during the culminating awards ceremony.

CDS students truly shone in both the competition and the festival experience! We were so proud to have 23 creative and courageous students represent CDS across multiple performance and design categories. From heartwarming solos to bold costume designs, these students put in weeks of preparation and hard work, and it showed. Each and every student brought something special to this experience—whether it was courage to try something new, dedication to their craft, or joy in connecting with fellow theatre enthusiasts. We are so proud of their achievements and the way they enthusiastically engaged in the workshops to continue to hone their craft.
