Discover the wonder of San Francisco at campCDS!
Join us for a summer of adventure in the City by the Bay. At campCDS, children learn to love their city and become compassionate community members, building a strong connection to San Francisco and each other. Grades 1-5 campers explore the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, rich history, and creative culture. Whether they’re tasting and cooking up local flavors, creating art inspired by Bay Area activists, or hopping on Muni to uncover hidden landmarks, every day is an adventure. Back on the Children’s Day School campus, our preschool and kindergarten campers build community through hands-on exploration in our farm and garden, rooftop playground, and classrooms.
 
campCDS is open to the public, in addition to all current and incoming CDS students, and serves students from preschool to Grade 5. campCDS is led by Children’s Day School faculty and our trusted community partners. Registration is now open! Sign up here.
Camp Details

Camp runs weekly from June 23 to August 8. No camp on July 4. Most camps are one-week sessions. Sign up for just one week, or join us for the whole summer!

All camps begin and end at Children’s Day School, located at 333 Dolores Street in San Francisco. Camp starts at 8:00am and ends at 3:00pm. Optional: extend your camper’s day to 5:30pm for an additional cost.

  • Camp affordability options

    In the interest of offering an amazing camp experience for all, we are pleased to offer our sliding scale tuition to families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Please contact camp administration with documentation of eligibility.

  • Cancellation policy

    At campCDS, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to balance the needs of families with the commitments we make to our staff and programming. Please review the policy below to ensure clarity and fairness:

    Cancellation Deadlines and Refunds
    • Cancellations prior to May 1, 2025: Full Camp Fee Refund.
    • Cancellations between May 1 and 14 days Before Camp Start Date: 50% refund of the camp fees.
    • Less Than 14 days Before Camp Start Date: No refunds will be issued.

    Special Circumstances:     Refund requests due to medical emergencies, family emergencies, or unforeseen events will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Documentation (e.g., a doctor’s note) may be required to process these requests.

    Camp Closures: In the unlikely event that the camp is canceled by campCDS due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, safety concerns), families will be offered one of the following options:
    • A full refund of camp fees.
    • A credit toward a future camp session.

    Non-Refundable Fees: Certain fees, such as Homeroom registration fees and camp deposits, are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

    Changing Sessions: Requests to switch sessions must be made in writing at least 7 days before the start of the originally scheduled session. Approval will depend on availability and may incur a fee based on camp pricing.

    How to Cancel: To cancel a registration, please email us at summercamp@cds-sf.org. Include the following information in your request:
    • Camper’s full name
    • Session(s) registered for
    • Reason for cancellation

  • Late pick-up policy

    Camp ends at 5:30pm. Starting at 5:35pm, late pick-ups will be charged $10 per minute.
