The CDS Treehouse, 2017-2022

The CDS preschool treehouse had a great run.
It had to be taken down a few weeks ago for the purpose of assessing the health of the heritage elm tree it surrounded. The treehouse was constructed in 2017 and was a design collaboration between the Starfish students and an architect friend of CDS who specializes in preschool design. The treehouse was lovingly constructed by our facilities team. Deep thanks to them; it has been very well used and loved by all.

In honor of this beloved treehouse and the people who helped design it, we have a brief but beautiful documentary that features its original designers – the Starfish class of 2017 – as well as this year’s preschool class. Thank you to Preschool Teacher Greg Gardner for creating this video memory. We will miss the preschool treehouse.
